Tehran, Nov 25, IRNA Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said Iran is categorically against nuclear arms.
Making the remark in a meeting with the former German foreign minister Joschka Fischer here, he said Iran demands nothing beyond its internationally-recognized nuclear rights like any other members of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Referring to the success of recent talks between Iran and the 5+1 in Geneva, he noted that Iran based on guidelines of its Supreme Leader has always been ready for rational talks and dialogue with the world.

He expressed hope that the day would come soon when there are no nuclear arms in the world.

He also hoped for fresh developments in Iran-Germany following signing of the nuclear deal.

The parliamentarian further touched upon the Syrian crisis and said Iran has from the very beginning of the critical situation in that country believed only in diplomatic efforts and not military options as the way out of the crisis.

Fischer expressed happiness over the result of the Geneva nuclear talks and said he agreed with Iran regarding the settlement of the Syrian crisis.
