German FM strongly condemns deadly attack on Iranian embassy

Berlin, Nov 20, IRNA — German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle here on Wednesday strongly condemned the lethal assault on the
Iranian embassy in Beirut.
The murder of innocent people and attacks on diplomatic missions are ˈtotally unacceptableˈ, Westerwelle said in a statement.

He expressed sympathy with the victims and their families.

At least 23 people were killed and more than 140 were injured during an attack by two suicide bombers – one on a motorcycle and another in a car – which targeted reportedly the Iranian embassy compound in the south of the Lebanese capital.
