TEHRAN (FNA)- The Saudi Foreign Ministry denied Monday any contact between the kingdom and Israel for a joint plan to attack Iran.
The ministry was referring to a report on the UK-based Sunday Times newspaper this week highlighting a secret joint plan between the two countries to attack Tehran, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The British newspaper noted that Israel and Saudi Arabia are secretly working together on plans for a possible attack against Iran in case the Geneva talks fail to roll back its nuclear program.
According to the report, the two countries had to join forces as the United States seeks agreement with Iran to ease sanctions in a deal over the latter's nuclear program.
Under the alleged agreement, Israel will use Saudi Arabia's air space and Saudi will provide the required assistance in terms of drones, rescue helicopters and tanker planes.
