Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, heading a delegation, left Tehran for Rome on Tuesday to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues with senior Italian officials.
Zarif is accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi, Foreign Ministry?s Director General for Political and International Affairs Hamid Ba?eedinejad and Director General for Defensive Affairs at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Amiri.

Zarif?s visit is taking place at the invitation of his Italian counterpart Emma Bonino.

The Iranian FM was scheduled to visit Italy on Nov 14 but he postponed the visit due to the intensive and sensitive talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council -- the United States, China, Russia, France and Britain -- plus Germany in Geneva over Tehrans peaceful nuclear energy program.
