Tehran, Nov 18, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani said management of water resources is the most basic challenge the Iranian government is currently facing.
In a message read to a gathering on science, peace and development here on Monday, he said public collaboration and assistance provided by experts and academic societies is a must for solving the problem.


Pointing to importance of water for the human life, the President focused on the economic and social significance of water and its pivotal role in spatial planning in the country.

Pointing to the factors contributing to making Iran as a dry land on Earth, President Rouhani reiterated that providing nutrition security as well as sustainable economic and social development call for particular attention to the issue of water management.
