TEHRAN (ISNA)- It is quoted from Imam Zeyn-Al-Abedin (Sajad)(PBUH) that he said: when they brought the head of Imam Hossein (PBUH) to Yazid-Allahs curse upon him-, he organized a celebration ceremony and drank wine while pacing Imam Hosseins (PBUH) head right in front of him.One day, the Roman ambassador who was among the nobles Rome-, was also present in the court of Yazid and he asked Yazid: O the king of Arabia! Whose head is this?
Yazid replied to him: what do you have to do with this head?
The ambassador said: when I return back to my king, he will ask me about everything I saw hear; therefore I would like to narrate the story of this head and the person whose head this is, so that he may also share your joy.
Yazid-Allahs curse upon him- replied: This is head of Hossein Ibn(the son of) Ali Ibn Abi Talib.
The roman ambassador asked again: and who is her mother? Yazid said: Fatemeh the daughter of Allahs Prophet.
The roman ambassador said: Damn you and the religion you follow. My religion is better yours; because even while my father is one of the descendants of David the prophet and there is a huge gap of generations between me and David; still these Christians honor and pay their respects to me and literally pick up the dust from everywhere I set foot on as a good luck charm for themselves.
But you people kill your own prophets grandson; while there is just this mother between him and your prophets generation.
What kind of religion is this which you are upon?
Thereafter the Roman ambassador told a story about Christians in remote part of the world and their love for Jesus (PBUH) and once again criticized and reprimanded Yazids religion.
Yazid said: Kill this Christian so that he may not humiliate us anymore in our own country.
When the Christian realized that he is going to be killed, he said to Yazid: Do you want to kill me?
Yazid said: yes.
The ambassador said: Then I must tell you that I saw your prophet in my dream last night and he said to me: O follower of Christ! You are going to reside in paradise.
I was surprised to hear this good news from him; but now I must say: I bear witness to the fact that there is no God except Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
Thence he rushed towards the head of Imam Hossein (PBUH) and took it in his arms and kissed it and cried profusely until he was killed.
