Beirut, Nov 16, IRNA Leader of Maronite Christians Patriarch Beshara Butros Rai said Iran is enjoying very excellent ties with Lebanons political groups.The patriarch made the remark in a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi here on Saturday.
During the meeting, the two officials reviewed the most important regional and international developments.
The Lebanese religious leader said the flood of Syrian refugees to Lebanon has added to the sensitivity of security and economic situation in the country, stressing that any solution to such a critical situation calls for cooperation of regional countries especially Iran.
Expressing happiness over the procedure of the latest round of nuclear talks between Iran and the 5+1, he hoped the negotiations will have positive outcomes for the whole region including Lebanon.
Roknabadi stressed Irans steady policy of rendering support to Lebanon and said Tehran will do its uttermost to foster unity and solidarity in the region and support stability in Lebanon.
