TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran enjoys good experience in different fields, which have empowered it to confront the western sanctions, a Tajik presidential candidate said, stressing his willingness to use these experiences in ruling his country if he is elected as the next president of Tajikistan.

We consider Irans experiences in economic and agricultural fields as highly valuable since Irans economy has proved successful despite the pressures exerted by the world imperialism and the country has managed to maintain its production and consumption markets and is able to present goods which can rival with foreign products, Candidate of Tajikistans Communist Party for the November 6 presidential election Esmayeel Talabakovtold FNA on Saturday.

Talabakov said that the financial and tax plans he has introduced to the Tajik people as his working agenda are all based on the experiences of Iran.

Referring to his plans for Tajikistans foreign policy, he said, Cooperation with Russia, China and Iran enjoys special priority in our foreign policy since these countries play a major role in the development of Tajikistans economy.

Iran and Tajik officials have recently accelerated expansion of the two countries ties and cooperation.

On September 13, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stressed the expansion of the mutual relations and cooperation between the Iran and Tajikistan in a meeting with his Tajik counterpart in the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

Rouhani is also slated to pay a visit to Tajikistan in November to hold talks with senior Tajik officials, specially his counterpart Emomali Rahmon.

The main topic of the discussions during the first visit of Hassan Rouhani as the Iranian president to Tajikistan will be a range of economic issues," an informed Tajik source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said late October.

The source added that the exact date of the visit has not been determined yet, and the two sides are still discussing it.

The Iranian and Tajik presidents are scheduled to participate in the inauguration of the second unit of the jointly-built 220-megawatt Sangtoudeh-II hydropower plant on the Vakhsh River in Tajikistans Khatlon region, situated South of Dushanbe.

Iran has earmarked $180 million in the hydroelectric project while Tajikistan allocated $40 million.
