Nuclear talks likely to achieve success: Analyst

The nuclear talks between Iran and the six world powers are for the first time likely to make headway towards success, a political analyst tellsPress TV.
For the first time you are hearing a public agreement from both Iran and the P5+1 (permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) sides that the talks are moving forward; they are positive; there is this sense that the talks can reach a successful conclusion, said Jeff Steinberg in a Thursday interview.

The analyst praised the decision by both parties to the negotiations to keep the contents of the talks confidential, as there are many external elements that seek to sabotage the talks.

He also pointed to the recent expert-level meetings between Iran and the six world powers and Tehrans talks with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and lauded the spirit of cooperation in the course of the both negotiations.

Iran, the six world powers and the IAEA have all expressed satisfaction over the results of their recent round of nuclear negotiations.

The representatives of Iran and the permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany wrapped up their expert-level negotiations at the United Nations office in the Austrian capital, Vienna, on Thursday.

Iran and the six world powers held two days of negotiations over Tehrans nuclear energy program in Geneva, Switzerland, on October 15-16. The two sides agreed to have expert-level talks before meeting again in the Swiss city on November 7-8.
