TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian researchers have designed proper synthesis and cooking system and built alumina ceramic-based nano-composite with high toughness and strength.
Results of the research can be applied in aero-space industries. The research was conducted through sol-gel method with AlCl3, 6H2O, TEOS and B2O3 material.

The material was synthesized in the form of composite Al2O3-SiC at 1600 centigrade degree and were cooked at 1700 centigrade degree. Then micro-structures and mechanical properties of the sample were investigated.

Results of the research were published in Ceramics International Journal.
