 Analyst optimistic about Iran nuclear talks
Islamabad, Oct 20, IRNA a former Pakistani diplomat on Sunday said that he is optimistic about the positive outcome of Irans nuclear talks to be held in November this year.
Talking to IRNA, Asif Ezdi said that talks between Iran and 5+1 group must continue and the change in western attitude towards Iran is the diplomatic success of the Islamic Republic.

The analyst expressing his views said that optimism about Iran-5+1 nuclear talks is justified. He said that Irans nuclear issue needs to be solved for the interest of all countries of the world as well as the region.

Asif Ezdi added that earlier lack of trust was the real problem in the talks between Iran and 5+1 group. The analyst said that despite all problems the talks are the only way to settle issues.

The analyst strongly believed that US is not in a position to bear the burden of another war. US has no military capacity to start another conflict, he noted. He added that fall out of any war would be unpredictable and US is fully aware about the fact.

Asif Ezdi was of the view that West is trying to pressurize Iran by imposing sanctions. He said that Iran has shown the path of diplomacy to the world powers. He said that sanctions on Iran are baseless and must be lifted immediately.

He described as very positive the talks between Iran and the P5+1 in Geneva which ended on October 16.

At the end of the their two-day talks in Geneva on October 16, representatives of Iran and the sextet - the US, Britain, France, China and Russia plus Germany - agreed to continue their negotiations in early November.

Asif Ezdi said that he is optimistic about the positive outcome of new round of talks between the two sides.

He said that there is a change in western attitude towards Iran and the phone call by US President Barack Obama to Iranian President Hassan Rohani proved that.

The former diplomat said that Iran will not step down from its position over peaceful nuclear program. He said that there is no justification to question the peaceful nature of Irans nuclear program.
