Extremists have to accept resolve of Iranian nation: Zibakalam

Tehran, Oct 4, IRNA A well-known political analyst Sadeq Zibakalam said on Friday that the extremists have no other choice but to accept the resolve of the Iranian nation.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA, the professor of the University of Tehran, said that the Iranian nation voted for the motto of constructive engagement with the world in June 14 presidential elections and now expect their demands to be met.

Zibakalam further noted that certain extremists are seeking to fuel the tension between Tehran and Washington in a bid to safeguard their own interests.

He hailed the good performance of President Hassan Rouhani during his visit to New York as the first step to establish relations with the United States.

Referring to a fatwa (religious edict), issued by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei banning the use and production of the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs), the political analyst said that the world took the peace-seeking message of the Iranian leader and president and gave a positive response to it.

The Supreme Leaders fatwa is meaningful for those, who are familiar with Shia culture and accept it, he said.

He reiterated that the world is waiting for practical measures to be taken by both sides.
