Laurent Fabius, French Foreign Minister warns that �Iran would need to accept the goal of the Geneva II conference: the establishment by consensus of a transitional government that would not include President Bashar al-Assad� in order to be in any Syria peace negotiations.
His conditions comes just when Turkish President Abdullah G�l told�Washington Post�that he always made the point that Russia and Iran ought to be a part of these discussions. �I�ve seen from the outset how committed both Russia and Iran have been in terms of their position [on Syria], more so than others,� he pointed out.

Mr. Fabius spoke with�New York Times Board�on the eve of speeches by world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, where the Syria conflict is expected to be an overriding theme.
