Iran, Syria sign deal to send food, medicine to Damascus

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran and Syria concluded an agreement to send foodstuff, medical equipment, medicines and other types of humanitarian aid to the crisis-hit country, Syrian national TV reported.

The possible war against Syria as well as displacement of millions of Syrians over recent weeks made Syrian government face problems in purchasing foodstuff.

It has recently held tenders for purchasing flour, sugar, rice and wheat but bought a little.
