Chinese, Russian FMs congratulate Irans Zarif on new post

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov have sent congratulatory messages to their Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, felicitating him on his endorsement for the top diplomatic post.
In his message, Wang described the friendly ties between China and Iran as deep-rooted in history, noting that relations between the two countries have greatly improved in diverse areas over the past few years.

The Chinese foreign minister also expressed hope that Beijing-Tehran relations will further flourish in the future, voicing his countrys preparedness to expand cooperation with Iran in various fields.

Wang also wished the Iranian government and nation prosperity, and hoped for the success of the new Iranian foreign minister.

Meanwhile, the Russian foreign minister stated that friendly relations with Iran and common stances on regional and international issues are of great significance for Russia.

Lavrov called for further cooperation between Moscow and Tehran based on their mutual interests, consolidation of regional interactions, and support for the establishment of international stability and security.

He also wished Zarif success and the Iranian nation peace and progress.
