2nd consignment of ostrich exported to Tajikistan

Semnan, Aug 18, IRNA – Second consignment of ostrich was exported from Damghan, Semnan province, to Tajikistan Sunday.

Director of Damghan ostrich breeding farm Hossein Hajati told IRNA that based on an agreement signed with Central Asian countries, the second consignment of ostrich containing 100 one-month-old ostriches was exported to Tajikistan by air.

He put the value of the consignment at $15,000.

The first consignment including 250 7-day-old ostrich chickens valued at $60,000 was earlier exported to Armenia, Hajati said.

Damghan is situated 342 kilometers from Tehran on the high-road to Mashad, Khorasan Razavi province.
