Tehran Vocal Ensemble to perform western film music pieces
Tehran Vocal Ensemble is slated to perform concert featuring repertoire from the works by the American composer John Williams and the Italian musician Ennio Morricone.
The group will present the popular pieces of two musicians that were composed for numerous films, the ensembles conductor Milad Omranlou announced.

Several pieces created by Hossein Alizadeh and other Iranian composers will be also performed at the upcoming concert, he added.

The ensemble is set to record the programs pieces for its second album that will be released in September.

Tehran Vocal Ensemble was hailed at several international events such as the 2010 World Choir Games in China where the group received a silver medal in the Folklore section as well as a bronze medal in the Mixed Chamber Choirs section.

The ensemble was also awarded a gold medal in the Mixed Choir Category of the 11th International Folksong Choir Festival in Spain.

The Tehran concert repertoire is scheduled to be held in Vahdat Hall in September.
