Eight Iranian children honored in Belarus painting contest
Eight Iranian children have garnered Honorable Mention at the 2013 edition of Belarus International Painting Competition of Motherland.
The creations of Iranian young artists were selected from among 15459 works submitted by 31 countries from around the world.

Danial Nourbakhsh (5 years), Sepideh Yeganeh (6 years), Mahya Akbarnia (7 years), Elahe Nasri (9 years), Ayda Pourhassan (10 years), Zahra Hammamizadeh (10 years), Fatemeh Khosravi (12 years) and Zahra Abdolzadeh (13 years) are the Iranian winners of this years contest.

The winners are members of Irans Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA).

The competition displayed some 314 selected works during an exhibition held in the capital city of Minsk on April 18, 2013.

IIDCYA took part in the competition with the 579 entries created by its members at different ages.

IIDCYA covers a wide range of cultural and artistic activities in the country such as releasing books, audio tapes, films and toys for Iranian kids.

Founded in 1961, the institute has branches all across the country and is known as the best source of cultural and instructional products by educational centers and families.

The IIDCYA also organizes festivals, discussion panels, competitions and various conferences addressing children, and adults who want to improve their understanding of their children.
