KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 (Bernama) -- Iran's cultural attache to Malaysia, Ali Akbar Ziaei, said here on Tuesday that further interaction among Muslim ulama will end sectarian activities in the world of Islam, Iran's IRNA reported.
Holding regular meetings among ulama of various Islamic sects will prevent damages caused by sectarian conflicts, said the diplomat in an interview with IRNA.
He said that Iran and Malaysia can play key roles in maintaining religious solidarity.
He further warned against the actions of Takfiris in the region aimed at sowing discord and creating tension in the Islamic world.
A Takfiri is a Muslim who accuses another Muslim of apostasy.
