Iran set for slightly larger pistachio harvest

Cap Industries has estimated Iran's 2013 pistachio crop to be around 3,000 tonnes higher than that of 2012, but this latest outlook for 2013 represents a substantial cut from earlier expectations due to adverse weather.
In its objective crop estimate the company pegged this year's crop to reach a total of 215,000 tonnes, up from an estimated 212,000 tonnes in 2012.
