Egypts Muslim Brotherhood has called for uprising after dozens of its supporters were killed by the security forces in the capital, Cairo.
In a statement on Monday, the groups political arm, the Freedom and Justice Party, appealed for an uprising by the great people of Egypt against those trying to steal their revolution with tanks.
It also urged the international community and international groups and all the free people of the world to intervene to stop further massacres and prevent a new Syria in the Arab world.
The party was reacting to killing of over 40 supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi in a sit-in in Cairo on Monday.
The Muslim Brotherhood said that snipers targeted protesters attending the sit-in outside the Republican Guard building.
Morsi supporters were praying while the police and army fired live rounds and tear gas at them, the Brotherhood said.
Egypts Nour Party has withdrawn from talks over the new government in response to the massacre of the protesters.
The Strong Egypt Party also condemned the killings, saying General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the head of Egypts army, is responsible for the deadly incident.
On July 3, General Sisi announced that President Morsi was no longer in office.
The chief justice of Egypts Supreme Constitutional Court, Adli Mansour, was sworn in as interim president of Egypt on July 4.
Growing differences among political parties have delayed the nomination of a new interim prime minister in the North African country.
