Iran, Russia hold talks over S-300 deal

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced that Tehran and Moscow are holding talks to settle the issue of the Russian S-300 air defense system that is expected to be supplied to Iran.
The meeting between the Russian President Putin and his Iranian counterpart Ahmadinejad, on the sidelines of the summit of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries, gains a particular importance by tackling the Russian-Iranian arms deal as former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's decided to ban providing Tehran with S-300 rockets for three years.

As carryig out the deal was postponed, Russian sources mentioned that Moscow would provide Tehran with a different brand of rockets, yet with the same efficiency, to fortify its reputation as a main arm exporters.
