An Iranian-bound bus crashed in the northern province of Tokat’s Reşadiye district, killing six and wounding 14 others earlier today.
The bus, which was carrying 20 passengers, departed from Istanbul for Iran before overturning near Umurca village near Reşadiye at midnight today. The cause of the accident is still unknown.
Six passengers carrying either Azerbaijani or Iranian passports were killed in the accident, while the other passengers sustained injuries, according to a source at Reşadiye State Hospital.
Three passengers whose health was in critical condition were transferred to the Tokat State Hospital.
Officials are still working to determine the accident identity of the foreign nationals killed in the crash.
