Irans Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has expressed the Islamic Republics preparedness to expand bilateral relations with Vietnam.
At a Saturday meeting with Vietnams Deputy Foreign Minister in Asia and African Affairs Negoavn Fung Nega, Salehi pointed to the lucrative Middle Eastern market, and underscored the need for easing trade regulations in order to facilitate bilateral commerce.
The Iranian foreign minister stressed the importance of joint investment plans and expressed optimism that the two countries can enhance their bilateral ties in different spheres by establishing a joint economic commission in the future.
Salehi hailed the two countries diplomatic relations and called for further cooperation between Tehran and Hanoi in the international arena.
Negoavn, for her part, pointed to the potentials for promoting the trade ties between her country and Iran and called for the further expansion of the bilateral relations.
The Vietnamese deputy foreign minister has travelled to Tehran to take part at the Iran-Vietnam Advisory Committee.
