Iran sanctions wont impede petrochemical progress, Bayat
TEHRAN Dec 09 (Shana): Illegal embargoes wont deter Irans petrochemical industry from movement towards progress, National Petrochemical Company (NPC) managing director said here on Sunday.
Speaking at a ceremony to praise those who were in charge of holding 8th Iran Plast Exhibition, Abdolhosain Bayat said: By relying on their capabilities and knowledge, Iranian experts and manufacturers have been able to nullify the impact of sanctions so that at present many parts and equipment needed in petrochemical industry are being manufactured at home.

Bayat continued that Iran Plast exhibitions achievements were highly valuable for plastic industry not only in view of exchanging technology and know-how but signing several contracts with other countries related to petrochemical products exports.

Instead of selling raw materials, Iranian petrochemical industry plans to move toward development of complementary industries and generating value added, Bayat noted.

8th Iran Plast Exhibition, as the largest petrochemical exhibition in Iran, was held early November in Tehran. 400 domestic and 100 foreign companies took part in the four-day event that is held biennially.
