13th international telecommunications, it and networking expo inaugurated in Tehran

Iran’s 13th International Exhibition of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Networking (Iran Telecom 2012) has been inaugurated during a ceremony attended by the telecommunications ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization, PressTV reported.

Iranian Communications and Information Technology Minister Reza Taqipour and telecommunications ministers from Turkey, Afghanistan, and Pakistan attended the inaugural ceremony at Tehran’s Permanent International Fairgrounds on Tuesday evening, IRNA reported.

Senior telecommunications officials from seven other countries also attended the ceremony.

Some 210 Iranian and foreign companies are participating in the exhibition, which opens to the public on Wednesday and runs until November 17.

Companies and local representatives from many countries, including Germany, Italy, China, Switzerland, Canada, South Korea, and Poland are taking part in Iran Telecom 2012.
