Iran urges Europe to do its best to save JCPOA

IRNA – Iranian deputy foreign minister urged the European states to do their best to save the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, the UK, Russia, China and France plus Germany).

If the Europeans not be able to prevent the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, Iran will also withdraw the deal, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs Abbas Araqchi was quoted as saying.

Hossein Naqavi-Hosseini, rapporteur of the Majlis (parliament) commission on national security and foreign policy quoted Araqchi as saying on Wednesday.

Araqchi advised other countries not to regulate their economic relations with Iran based on the JCPOA, Naqavi-Hosseini told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
