Senior Iranian cleric urges officials to stand firmly against US bullying

IRNA – Tehran’s substitute Friday prayers leader said Iranian officials should learn lessons from bad historical experiences and stand firmly agaisnt the US bullying by depending on internal potentials.

Addressing thousands of worshipers in his second sermon, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahedi Kermani said, ‘US President Donald Trump’s absurd comments against the Islamic Republic during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York revealed the real image of America across the world.’

He added, ‘Trump’s ridiculous speech indicated the depth of the US hidden animosity against the Islamic Republic of Iran.’

The senior cleric reiterated that the US has always tried to bring the Islamic Republic to its knee during the history and the Iranian nation would never forget the their animosity.

Touching upon the latest conditions of Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Movahedi Kermani expressed hope that the President of Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdish region, Massoud Barzani obey the laws of Iraq central government and overrule his decision to scede from the mainland.

The senior cleric also reiterated that Barzani should apologize the Iraqi people and maintain the integrity and stability of Iraq.

Tehran’s substitute Friday prayers leader also commemorated late Jalal Talabani, the former Iraqi president and veteran Kurdish leader.

He added that the late Talebani had always considered the Iraqi nation’s dignity and the integrity of this Arab country.
