MNA � Iranian researchers at a knowledge-based company have produced a type of special thread via nanotechnology that can be used in clothing to help bodies cool themselves.Azadeh Bashari, the project manager, told Mehr News that the production of this special type of nano thread has reached the industrial stage.

She maintained that the nano fabrics have cooling properties and get dried rapidly; �when body perspires, the sweats are quickly moved up to the surface of the nano fabric, thus leading to early evaporation,� she added.

According to her, the cooling property of the nano fabric makes it applicable in sportswear, bed covering, military uniforms, shoe layers�and generally any kind of clothing that does not have usual uses.

The US, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, Israeli regime and a number of European countries have already obtained this technology, she said.

Bashari stressed that the nano threads can be used in production of both winter and summer clothes, adding �the cooling property of these threads means a smart moisture management.�

She went on to add, �at the moment, some Iranian sportswear brands use the foreign version of these nano threads, but have now showed interest in using the Iranian version which enjoys high quality and far lesser costs.�
