IRNA – First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said on Saturday that culture can serve as a guide for the country’s economic development and progress.
He made the remarks in the closing ceremony of Iran’s first National Cultural-Artistic Festival in Tehran.
Jahangiri said that culture has a huge capacity and can accelerate economic growth and sustainable development.
The vice-president said that the young population has its own demands that they need to receive necessary responses.
He said that the main demand of the young generation is to make sure about the future.
He said that the arbitrary sanctions imposed on Iran created much more difficulties for national economy over the past several years and made it difficult for the government to fulfill its duties about the young people.
In order for the country to be able to go ahead with economic development, the agenda of the government is to create satisfactory atmosphere for the economic activists and investors, Jahangiri said.
