IRNA � Secretary of Iran Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei said on Friday that should the US adopt new sanctions against Iran, the country's response will be 'shocking.'


Rezaei made the remarks in his official Instagram page in response to efforts in the US to extend anti-Iran sanctions for another 10-year period.
�The sanctions will not be targeted against Iran only; rather they will mock the European Union, China and Russia as well,� Rezaei said. �They will also turn a blind eye to the UN Security council.�

'So, we will have the free hand to take action against the US; however, our action will be times more fundamental and more crushing.'
The US Senate on Thursday unanimously voted for extension of the Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) for another 10 years.
The US House of Representatives had earlier voted for the ISA extension.
