TEHRAN, Oct. 01 (MNA) � Iran�s Javad Zarif has said his last month�s letter to Federica Mogherini criticized the manner in which JCPOA wss implemented.


Zarif told IRIB news center on Saturday that the letter voiced Iran�s deep concerns over implementation of the JCPOA which rendered Iran�s economy absolutely unaffected by any positive outcomes; �I felt the need for something written where we requested a meeting in person where foreign ministers of JCPOA parties should attend; the session however met and addressed Iran�s concerns and fears,� he added.

In a different issue, he rejected German Minister of Economy�s remarks which had conditioned improved economic relations on Iran�s recognition of the Zionist regime as a sovereign country; �Iran is a sovereign nation and no country would exert influence on it to change policies according to its whims; we have fixed policies on all issues in the region and had been a pivot in fighting terrorism,� he emphasized.

�The US should abandon its�Iranophobic propaganda to expiate their past misguided policies about Iran; however, the administration avoided paying political costs in acting according to its�JCPOA commitments, especially during a time critical as November presidential elections,� Zarif told the press. �They have been lax in their commitment to encourage and ensure the companies and banks that their interaction with Iran would bring no sanctions and fines to them; they should provide some compensations to those past mistakes which damaged Iran�s reputation as a safe economic and investment haven,� he suggested.

On new negotiations with Canada, Zarif provided a hopeful prospects, however said that Iran had made some demands which required further examination by both sides.
