Twitter shutting down accounts tweeting, re-tweeting Iranian Leader's letter

TEHRAN (FNA)- Online social networking service, Twitter, has started suspending accounts that have tweeted the contents of the letter that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei sent to the western youth on Sunday.

The social networking media has started suspending tens of accounts that have tweeted or re-tweeted the Iranian leader's letter since last night.

Account holders in and outside Iran are receiving messages from the social network, saying that twitter's automated system has recognized them as to be sending spam messages.

Some of the accounts have been reactivated following an apology message from the network that warns them to avoid sending similar messages, but they have been closed a second time as soon as they send a tweet about the leader's message.

Many account holders have been journalists or from within the academic community.

The social network has not presented any explanation in this regard yet.

The Iranian leader sent a message to the world youth, specially those in the West, on recent terrorist attacks and related developments in the world, including the terrorist attacks in Paris.
