Zarif, Kerry discuss hold meeting on JCPOA in Vienna

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad JavadZarifsays the manner of removing sanctions and the implementation of the United States commitments have beendiscussed during a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry.

Zarif said after the Saturday meeting that theaxis of talks over the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was based on the guidelines of Leader of the Islamic RevolutionAyatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

He added that themeetingalso focused on the execution ofan official document to redesign the Arak heavy-water nuclear reactor.

The two counterparts met following a Syria peaceconference held in the Austria capital.

Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchisaid that the signing ofthe official document to redesign the reactoriscurrently being done by Iran and the world powersand "will be completed by Monday.

Araqchi made the comments following a meeting with EU Deputy Foreign Policy Chief Helga Schmid in Vienna.

Iran and the P5+1 the United States, Britain, France, China,Russia, andGermany finalized the JCPOA textover Irans nuclear program in Vienna on July 14.

Under the accord, limits will be put on Irans nuclear activities in exchange for, among other things, the removal of all nuclear-related economic and financial bans against the Islamic Republic.
