NIDC bracing for entering regional markets

TEHRAN Nov. 10 (Shana) National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), enjoying the support of Iranian contractors, is prepared to operate regional drilling projects, said the company's chief.
Heydar Bahmani said NIDC is in talks with Iraq National Oil Company for boosting bilateral cooperation and the two companies have signed an agreement in this regard.
NIDC has also held talks with several Iranian private sector companies for boosting the range of its drilling services, added Bahmani.

NIDC is negotiating with Eni and Saipem, the Italian oil and gas industry contractor, which is a subsidiary of Eni.
For the time being, there are many wells that need to be drilling inside Iran by NIDC and the company has prioritized them over foreign bids, he added.
