Iran nuclear talks may be extended for several days - Mogherini

Federica Mogherini, EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, has arrived in Vienna to join the final talks to curb Iran's nuclear program, a Sputnik correspondent reported Saturday.

VIENNA (Sputnik) US, Iran and France foreign ministers already held a number of bilateral meetings earlier this day. Their German and UK counterparts are expected to arrive later in the day.
Russian foreign minister is coming in near days, while Chinese foreign minister will most likely be represented by his deputy at the talks.

The ongoing nuclear talks between Iran the six world powers Russia, the United States, China, France, Britain and Germany may be extended for a few days, EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini said Saturday.

"P5+1, Iran have strong political will to reach a deal, talks may be extended for a few days," Mogherini said upon joining Iran nuclear talks in Vienna.

She also expressed hope that a final deal on the Iran nuclear program would be thrashed out in coming days.

"If a strong political will is there from all the parties, we can get there," Mogherini said hopeful of reaching a deal.

"It has always been tough, but not impossible, it is a matter of political will, reasons for having this agreement done are still there, probably now more than ever," Mogherini said upon joining Iran nuclear talks in Vienna.

Iran and the six world powers Russia, the United States, China, France, Britain and Germany have until Tuesday to thrash out a final deal that would secure the peaceful nature of Tehrans nuclear program in exchange for sanctions easing.
