Iranian VP: Iranian Leader's message to youth written for long-term views

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri underlined that the Iranian Supreme Leader's letter to the western youth has been written with farsightedness.
"We should speak with the young people with an appealing language and such behavior towards the youth can motivate their clean conscience and then they can do the impossible," Jahangiri said in Tehran on Tuesday.

"The letter that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has written to the European and US youth follows the same approach and he has addressed the youth for the very same reason," he added.

Jahangiri underscored that the letter shouldnt be considered as an everyday issue but should be viewed as a long-term move.

Last Wednesday night, Iran's Supreme Leader sent a highly important message to the European youth to stress the Islam that the West is trying to portray is a forged concept and not the reality, demanding the younger generation in the West to do research to get firsthand information before accepting their states' propaganda.

"I dont insist that you accept my reading or any other reading of Islam...," the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said in a part of his message, and added, "Dont allow this dynamic and effective reality in todays world to be introduced to you through resentments and prejudices. Dont allow them to hypocritically introduce their own recruited terrorists as representatives of Islam."

"... in reaction to the flood of prejudgments and disinformation campaigns, try to gain a direct and firsthand knowledge of this religion. The right logic requires that you understand the nature and essence of what they are frightening you about and want you to keep away from," he said, and stressed, "Receive knowledge of Islam from its primary and original sources. Gain information about Islam through the Quran and the life of its great Prophet. I would like to ask you whether you have directly read the Quran of the Muslims. Have you studied the teachings of the Prophet of Islam and his humane, ethical doctrines? Have you ever received the message of Islam from any sources other than the media?"

On Saturday, Leader of the Hamburg Islamic Center Ayatollah Reza Ramezani underlined that the Muslim community in Europe had given a wide welcome to the Iranian Supreme Leader's message to the European youth.

"Based on field information, your kind letter to the European and North American youth has received a massive welcome by the Muslims of the region," Ramezani said in a letter to Ayatollah Khamenei.

He expressed the hope that the young European people could have a bright future by practicing the strategies and solutions proposed by Ayatollah Khamenei, and establish durable peace and security in the human society and restore the rights of the oppressed nations.

Ayatollah Ramezani underlined his and other Shiite scholars' efforts to pay special attention to the contents of the letter to bring them into action.
