Iranian deaf soccer players have crowned the third edition of Asia Pacific Deaf Football Championships.
On Friday, the Iranian sportsmen exhibited their athletic skills throughout the match played at the Olympic Stadium Number 1 in the Iranian Persian Gulf island of Kish, and earned a well-deserved 6-1 win against Saudi Arabias team.

In another match of the day, the Japanese squad edged past the Iraqi team 5-3 in the penalty shootout to land in the third spot at the end of the sporting event.

The Iranian hearing-impaired footballers beat the Iraqi side 3-0 in their semi-final fixture on November 26 to take on Saudi Arabia in the final showdown.

The third edition of Asia Pacific Deaf Football Championships saw the curtain rolled down during a closing ceremony at Olympic Stadium Number 1 in the Iranian island of Kish on Friday evening, November 28. The games had started on November 17.

Iranian Sports Minister Mahmoud Goudarzi, the treasurer for Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation and chairman of Singapore Sports and Recreation Committee of the Deaf, Dennis Tan, President of the Islamic Republic of Irans Deaf Sports Federation Karamollah Alimoradi, and a number of other Iranian sports figures attended the ceremony.

The tournament brought together hearing-impaired soccer players from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
