Iran-Afghanistan trade stands at $4b: Qashqavi

Birjand, South Khorasan Prov, Nov 1, IRNA - A senior Iranian Foreign Ministry official said on Saturday that trade between Tehran and Kabul stands at four billion dollars.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Expatriates Affairs Hassan Qashqavi made the remarks in a meeting with local people.
He said that South Khorasan province, with over 460 km joint borderline, would play a pivotal role to enhance level of trade between Iran ad Afghanistan.

He voiced Iran's readiness to deliver consulate services to the Iranian expatriates living abroad and the eastern neighboring countries.

Qashqavi said that Iran's eastern neighbors, Afghanistan and Pakistan in particular, are considered as great opportunities for the Islamic Republic to develop cultural ties and trade cooperation.
