Paris museum to exhibit Iranian modern art works
An exhibition of Iranian arts is slated to be mounted at the Museum of Modern Art (Muse dArt Moderne) in the French capital, Paris.
The works of nearly 20 Iranian artists will represent the countrys modern art creations at the exhibition titledUnedited History.

The museum will host over 200 posters, paintings and photographs that mirror the art and visual culture of Iran from the 1960s to the present.

A book with the exhibitions title will be offered on the sidelines of the event. The book introduces the periods style and material of the works.

Morteza Momayyez, Kamran Shirdel, Morteza Avini, Kazem Chalipa, Kaveh Golestan and Ardeshir Mohasses are among the artists whose works will be displayed at the French museum.

Unedited Historyexhibition is scheduled to kick off on May 16 and will run until August 24.

The modern art movement in Iran appeared in the late 1940s and early 50s, the period after the death of painter Kamal al-Mulk (18521940).
