Tehran, Dec 2, IRNA � Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali-Akbar Salehi said on Sunday that Iran strongly welcomes foreign investment in construction of nuclear power plants especially by the countries possessing know-how.
�We 100 percent welcome construction of nuclear power plants by countries having the capability,� Salehi said in an exclusive interview with IRNA on the sidelines of his visit to IRNA.


Asked about France?s investment in manufacturing reactors for the Persian Gulf states and whether France will cooperate with Iran in construction of power plants, Salehi said that the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes partnership with other countries.

Responding to a question about which country is currently negotiating with Iran on construction of power plant except for Russia, he said, �We are currently in talks; however, I can not specify the name of the country yet.�
