MP terms Tehran-Powers deal opportunity for Irans oil sector
TEHRAN (Tasnim) A member of the Iranian Parliaments Energy Commission said on Monday that the initial agreement between Iran and the six world powers was a positive achievement, and called on the countrys oil sector to use it to remove existing problems.

Anyway, the recent agreement is a positive achievement for our country and a good opportunity has been prepared that will later on lead to lifting the whole oil ban (against Iran), Shamsollah Bahmeie told the Tasnim News Agency on Sunday.

He expressed the hope that the countrys executive managers would use this opportunity to resolve the existing problems.

Bahmeie further said that the president and the head of the countrys Nuclear Energy Organization are scheduled to attend a session of the Parliaments Energy Commission to brief MPs about the details of the countrys nuclear agreements and plans.

The lawmaker further said that the Supreme Leaders appreciation of the nuclear team convinced the Parliaments Energy Commission to follow the suit, consider the agreement as a favorable development, and appreciate the Iranian diplomatic apparatus.

On Sunday, Ayatollah Khamenei appreciated the Iranian team of nuclear negotiators after more than four days of intensive talks in Geneva over Tehrans peaceful nuclear program resulted in a historic deal.

Ayatollah Khameneis comment were in reply to a letter from President Hassan Rouhani, who earlier briefed the Leader on the latest developments in the negotiations between Iran and the six major world powers in the Swiss city of Geneva.

This comes after Iran and Group 5+1 (the six major world powers also known as P5+1) reached a six-month deal early on Sunday with the aim of ending a decade-long standoff over Tehrans nuclear program.
