A political analyst says the Western party involved in the nuclear talks with Iran is to blame for the failure of the two sides in reaching a deal in Geneva, Press TVreports.
Hamidreza Emadi, Press TV newsroom director, said in an interview that Iran is serious in its nuclear negotiations with the six powers - the United States, Britain, China, Russia, France and Germany - and that the Iranian nation trusts the seriousness of its negotiating team in Geneva.
It is becoming very much clear for the Iranians that the other party, the Western party in particular, is wasting time, it is not negotiating in a good faith, in a serious manner. That has to change, Emadi stated.
Tehran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany discussed Irans nuclear energy program behind closed doors in Geneva, Switzerland, last week. The intensive talks kicked off on November 7 and stretched into an unscheduled third day.
The two sides could not reach a deal in Geneva, but stressed that significant progress had been made and expressed optimism about the prospect of achieving a deal.
Emadi further pointed to Frances position in the nuclear negotiations and said Paris was the one that tried its best not to have a deal with Iran at this stage in Geneva.
On November 9, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said in Geneva that the Israeli regimes concerns must be taken into consideration in the course of the nuclear discussions.
The six countries have to stop listening to Israel if they want the deal to be struck, said Emadi, adding that there is no point in negotiating with countries that do not have the authority to negotiate.
