TEHRAN (ISNA)- The US Red Cross Chairman Bonnie Mcelveen Hunter appreciated his Iraniancounterpart Mohammad Abbasi over Iran's condolences following Oklahoma Tornados.
"I appreciate your message of condolences and your sympathy with those affected by Oklahoma Tornado. I also appreciate your readiness for supporting the US Red Cross in this hard situation," Hunter said in his message to Abbasi.
The tornadoes struck near the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore, where 24 people were killed following the event early June. The storm trapped many people in cars.
More than 60,000 homes lost power and heavy rain has caused severe flooding.
