Iran's reformist leader Khatami announces support for Rowhani
Iran’s former President Seyyed Mohammad Khatami has announced his support for presidential candidate Hassan Rowhani and expressed gratitude for his former First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, who withdrew from the presidential race on Monday to increase the reformist camp’s chances of winning, Official Website of Seyyed Mohammad Khatami reported.

 
Jalili not to form a coalition
Iranian presidential candidate Saeed Jalili would not withdraw from the election or form a coalition with the other candidates, Jalili’s election headquarters said, responding to Shargh’s Monday report about the candidate’s withdrawal, Shargh daily newspaper said.

 
 Ahmadinejad: I do not support any candidate
Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that “neither I nor the government support any presidential candidate. I have only one vote and I will use it, just like everyone else” ISNA reported.

 
Iran to close Mehran border due to election
Because of Iran’s presidential election, International Mehran border will be closed for three days since Friday (June 13), Mehr quoted Mehran governor Hojjatollah Nasiripour as saying.
