Aref to stay in presidential race to the end
Iranian Reformist presidential candidate Mohammad Reza Aref says he would stay in the presidential race "to the end," adding he has no intention of forming a coalition with rival candidate Hassan Rowhani for the June 14 vote, Jame-Jam Online  reported.

 
Former Minister of Culture challenges president position
According to Mehr, former Minister of Culture Mohammad-Hossein Saffar-Harandi criticizes the fact that president tries to have the same position as Iran’s supreme leader.

 
Economy minsters of Ahmadinejad’s administration to hold a debate with presidential candidates
The economy-related ministers of the administration [of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad] are prepared to hold a debate on economic issues with all eight candidates running for president, Mehr quoted Mohammad Sheikhan, an official with Iran's Presidential Office, as saying.

The ministers are ready to defend their economic plans in the face of the criticisms leveled by the candidates, Sheikhan emphasized.

 
Presidential debate format changed: Official
Referring to the changes applied to presidential debate format, Iran's deputy general attorney Nasser Seraj has said that multiple-choice questions and showing images were removed of the debates, ISNA reported.

A number of Iranian presidential candidates objected to the format of their first live televised debate.

 
Prosecutor General: Iran’s Judiciary to deal with electoral offenses
According to Fars, Iran's Prosecutor General Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei says that Judiciary is dealing with electoral offenses, stressing presidential candidates and their supporters should not get people into trouble.

 
Bahonar announces his support for presidential candidate Velayati
Mohammad Reza Bahonar, first Vice Speaker of Iran’s Majlis and secretary general of the Islamic Society of Engineers has announced his support for presidential candidate Ali Akbar Velayati, Roydad news reported.

When Ayatollah Khamenei was the President of Iran, he was going to support Ali Akbar Velayati as prime minister, Bahonar said.
