The storm that hit Tehran this week caused 55 billion rials in damage to the city’s power grid and distribution facilities.
The head of Tehran Power Distribution, Mohammad Hashemi, said 18 distribution substations, 200 MV feeders and 2,000 low-voltage cable networks were damaged by the storm.
He added that service technicians had restored power to all of the capital by 11 PM on the day of the storm.
The damage was caused by fallen trees, electricity poles and metal scaffoldings as well as objects blown off apartment balconies and onto power cables.
