Iran’s Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani attended Tehran’s Bahman Hospital on Friday to visit chairman of the Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Mohammad-Reza Mahdavi Kani who is in hospital since June 4th due to a heart attack.
According to IRNA, Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani, 83, became the head of the Assembly of Experts on 8 March 2011.
Speaking to reporters after his visit, Larijani quoted the Ayatollah’s doctors as saying that there was no sign of improvement in his health conditions.
A large number of top-ranking Iranian officials, including Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani, have, so far, visited Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani at the hospital.
