TEHRAN June 3 (Shana)--National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) is to install ten drilling rigs in the massive South Azadegan oil field by July, managing-director of Petroleum Engineering and Development Company said.
Abdorreza Haji-Hosseinnejad said two wells are being spudded by NIDC in the field which is shared with Iraq.
He also said that PEDEC has picked a consultant for reconsidering detailed development projects of South Azadegan field.
Iran recently cancelled its contract with China’s oil giant CNPC for the development of South Azadegan due to the Chinese contractor’s lack of commitment.
