Zahedan, Sistan-Baluchestan prov, June 2, IRNA – A Tehran-Kuala Lumpur flight was forced to make an emergency landing in this southeastern provincial capital city after taking off from Tehran on wee hours Monday morning.
Iran Air?s flight 814 asked for emergency landing in this southeastern airport with 290 passengers on board at 02:00 hours local time due to medical problems of a 60-year-old woman, said Head of the Sistan-Baluchestan’s airports Hassan A’arabi Moqaddam
The Boieng 747 had taken off from Tehran at 12:15 hours local time.
The official told IRNA that the old woman needed immediate medical care due to her severe low blood pressure (hypotension).
The official added that the woman is currently in good health condition after receiving necessary medical treatments.
However, A’arabi Moqaddam added, the flight has not been able to continue its way to Malaysia due to some technical problems appeared afterward.
The passengers were transferred to a nearby hotel while another plane was sent from Tehran to Zahedan to take them to Malaysia.
The city of Zahedan is enroute international flight corridor, having 100 foreign flights each day.
